What working with me is like
I believe in taking a client-led approach, honoring that you are the expert of your life. You hold your solutions and guide the pace and direction of your healing journey. There is no right or wrong way to show up to any session!
My work is grounded in a relational-cultural lens, meaning I attend to the ways systems of oppression and societal factors may impact you. I hold space for both the barriers you face and the strengths you bring. I’m mindful of my privileges and power as a counselor, and I strive to keep an open dialogue about how power shows up in our work together and how to return as much of it as possible to you.
I believe the counseling relationship itself can be a powerful space for healing. Interpersonal relationships that exist in a client’s life have their own unique, powerful, and sometimes painful dynamics. I plan to offer a stable, caring, and collaborative connection, modeling relational trust and support.
I am based in Pittsburgh, PA, via telehealth or in person downtown.
Quote
"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom." — Anaïs Nin
Important about me
My ideal clients are emerging adults and LGBTQ+ clients, including trans and gender nonconforming folks, those navigating life transitions, grief, relationship issues (including non-traditional relationships), and identity exploration. I see you as a whole person, and together we can create a treatment plan that is transparent, flexible, and sustainable for you.
I often incorporate somatic practices and parts work to help you connect more deeply with your body, explore different aspects of yourself, and cultivate compassion toward your complex inner world. These approaches can support deeper insight and help you further develop regulation skills. I hold a nonjudgmental space where you are encouraged to show up authentically (however that looks to you!) knowing you will be met with acceptance and care.
I am currently completing my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and expect to graduate in May 2026.
