More about Forward Wellness Values as an Org:
We don’t think it’s radical to support all kinds of families, to celebrate folks unconditionally, to share authentically in our human suffering, and to call capitalism culture unhealthy for our minds and communities.
Our clinical work and organizational culture continues to be led by values: we believe that our pain and growth are bound up with one another’s; that reflection, candor, and authenticity are a vital practice; that our identities must be framed in trauma-informed historical, cultural contexts; and that we can commit to doing what matters together, alongside suffering, via compassionate care and connection.
In addition to our specialties, Forward Wellness values training and supporting new clinicians and clinicians who may have experienced barriers to independent practice. We provide population-specific individual and group supervision, in-house training, and professional development funding.
Forward Wellness encourages our therapists to have their own regular therapy; we offer paid hours for self care and generous family leave and other benefits.
Forward Wellness seeks to serve the community of which we are a part; we offer paid volunteer hours to staff and paid time for participation in our Community Outreach projects and efforts.
