What working with me is like

Working with me means entering a warm, collaborative space where you feel respected, supported, and understood. I meet you where you are, valuing your lived experiences and trusting you as the expert on your own life. My approach is client-centered and strengths-based, focusing on both the challenges you face and the resilience, skills, and values you already possess. In our sessions, we’ll work on developing practical skills you can apply in your daily life and creating a safe space for you to explore and process your emotional experiences. I bring curiosity, compassion, and a systemic perspective, recognizing how your environment, relationships, and the world around you shape you. I do not view therapy as a one-size-fits-all approach and consider my style to be holistic and eclectic, pulling from multiple therapeutic modalities and perspectives. My goal is to help you feel empowered to make meaningful changes, deepen self-understanding, and move toward the life you want with confidence and self-compassion.

"Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced."- James Baldwin

Important about me

I am currently an MSW student at the University of Pittsburgh. I have worked in the mental health field for over 5 years, primarily supporting individuals living with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. I have experience working in residential treatment settings, intensive outpatient programs, and as part of a crisis and stabilization team providing services to individuals in their homes and communities. In my roles, I have gained experience offering gender affirming care and neurodivergent affirming care, supporting individuals as they navigate their unique recovery journeys in ways that are genuine and authentic to them. I approach this work as a lifelong learner, continually reflecting on my own biases and beliefs to create a safe, affirming space where you feel seen, heard, and validated.

As your therapist, I aim to honor and respect everything you bring into the room. My priority is to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where you feel truly seen, heard, and validated. I believe therapy is most effective when you can show up authentically and feel supported in exploring both your challenges and your strengths. My hope is that our work together empowers you to embrace your resilience, connect more deeply with yourself, and live an authentic, genuine, and meaningful life.
