Some Fun Facts

In my downtime, I am in my garden, cuddling my cats or watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

What working with me is like

I strive to cultivate a therapeutic environment that honors the transformative magic of counseling and the work it takes to heal. One way this will impact our dynamic in session includes talking about how trauma and oppression affect our ability to connect and heal. I love to explore the nitty gritty with my clients while holding a nonjudgemental and comfortable space to grow.

Quote

"Out of great need we are holding hands and climbing. Not loving is a letting go. Listen, the terrain around here is far too dangerous for that." - Hafiz

Important about me

My passion lies in providing inclusive, comprehensive, and accessible care. I believe that healing work is social justice work. My practice strongly focuses on LGBTQQIA* folks, activists, and organizers, non-traditional relationship dynamics (including poly/kink/non-traditional relationship communities), and underserved populations on the outskirts of society. My work history has taken on many forms over the past twenty years, including social justice community organizer, social worker, clinical nutrition, and herbal medicine practitioner & educator. I am now making a home in Pittsburgh, PA, as a clinical mental health counseling student at IUP. I continue my love for radical change from the inside out and growing my scope on trauma-informed care and liberation.
