What working with me is like
If we work together, you can expect therapy to be collaborative, nonjudgmental, and tailored to you as an individual. There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to therapy, and I aim to create an environment where you can show up as you are and be met with recognition and empathy. I operate through a strengths-based and harm-reduction framework for all of my clients, and will always meet you exactly where you are at with care and compassion. Our sessions will focus on what makes you feel both comfortable and confident, and we will work as a team to process whatever you are bringing into the space.
Quote
“I am grateful for the ways that I have protected myself in the past, for that tells me that I want to live. It tells me that, even if I do not know it, I cherish my miraculous life.” -Mimi Zhu
Important about me
I have a master's degree in social work from The University of Pittsburgh, and I am working towards earning my clinical license. I have been working in the mental health field for several years and have experience working with: suicide/suicidal ideation, self-harm, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and trauma. I have a wide range of experience working with adolescents and young adults, as well as folks in the Queer/Trans communities. I am excited to work with folks of all walks of life and exploring what makes each person unique!
