Some Fun Facts
I love to sing and write songs! I enjoy all forms of art, but making music is my favorite form of self expression. Outside of creative pursuits, I enjoy dancing, doing yoga and taking long walks in nature.
What working with me is like
My therapeutic style is holistic and person-centered. I believe each person brings their own experiences, identities, strengths, and needs into therapy, and that healing does not look the same for everyone. I strive to create a warm and collaborative space where clients feel safe, heard, and understood. I am especially passionate about helping clients explore and heal from trauma by making space for their experiences, understanding their stories, and developing new ways of seeing themselves and their lives. I believe that exploring how our development, relationships, culture, and identities shape our experiences can help us better understand the patterns and beliefs that may be holding us back. Through this process, I hope to help clients reconnect with their strengths, create space for growth and move toward a more authentic sense of self.
Quote
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
— Carl Rogers, On Becoming a Person (1961)
Important about me
I am currently pursuing my Master of Social Work with a certificate in mental health at the University of Pittsburgh. Previously, I have worked with Women Who Rock, where I helped educate communities about women’s health and supported their annual concert raising funds for women’s health research. I also worked with Women Against Abusive Relationships, connecting survivors of domestic violence with resources and education to support their healing. These experiences deepened my passion for women’s health and how social and cultural norms perpetuate trauma. I am especially passionate about supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, and concerns related to self-worth and identity. I am excited to bring these experiences into a client-facing role where I can continue supporting people through their healing journeys while growing as a clinician. As an intern, I am committed to continuing to learn and expand my therapeutic toolkit while remaining open to each client’s unique needs, interests, and goals.
