Some Fun Facts

I love to travel. I am originally from Utah and made my way to PA for grad school. I'm still trying to cross off all 50 states (only 12 more go to!). When I am not working, I am probably spending time either watching one of my favorite shows or reading.

What working with me is like

My foundational style is person-centered. I place significant emphasis on rapport and the therapeutic relationship. I want to understand your world view as well as I can. From there, we can eclectically pull evidence-based interventions and strategies from other modalities, based on our collaborative goals.

For couples therapy, my style is compassion-focused and directive. Within session, we will work to strengthen communication skills, build empathy for one another, and start to repair any trust that has been ruptured along the way.

For individual therapy, I prioritize using the space to honor emotions, learn new coping skills, and work towards the goals that we have set together.

"One must champion oneself and say 'I am ready for this'" -Moira Rose

Important about me

I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist who feels strongly about continuing education in multicultural competency. Therapy should be a safe space for everyone, and it's my responsibility to continually seek out and check in with my own blind spots in order to maintain that safe space. I love being a therapist and feel so thankful to have a job that allows me to connect with so many different people. I can't wait to meet you!
